M2Carpets (part of Maltzahn GmbH) is an international company based in Germany. We are primarily focused on designing, printing and dyeing carpets and carpet tiles for the contract, retail and domestic market. The roots of the company go back to 1974 and since 2010 the company is part of the Visscher-Caravelle Group.
A brighter and clearer future with M2Carpets
A new brand from Maltzahn Carpet Innovation GmbH, specialists in high quality printed carpet, M2Carpets is set to transform the carpet sector through cutting-edge digital technology that delivers high-definition carpet without limitation.
Part of the Visscher-Caravelle Group, a European market leader in producing automotive mats for the OEM/OES market, Maltzahn Carpet Innovation has invested €5million in a state of the art manufacturing facility, with the resulting four and two-metre wide Chromojet technology becoming the focus for M2Carpets.
As average order sizes for commercial flooring projects decline and expectations of service levels rise, M2Carpets is perfectly geared towards delivering unrivalled lead times, flexibility, quality and service to end-users and specifiers alike. The new multi-width Chromojet printing machines with process colour technology enable M2Carpets to print designs in high-definition 76dpi clarity in any colour, even for low quantity orders.
By using pre-coated carpet, production lead times, stock management and material shrinkage are drastically reduced. With the printing machines achieving a closed-loop process that requires only 20% of the energy and water consumption necessary for conventional carpet printing, the production process completely eliminates dye waste.
“With our new Chromojet machines that utilise the latest in production technology, we have set optimal conditions for the production of high quality carpet for the hotel, office and leisure sectors,” explains Johan Paesen, business director, M2Carpets. “The cutting-edge technology allows us to produce limited-quantity bespoke carpet within very short lead-times, helping designers and specifiers to meet particular aesthetic requirements while ensuring even the strictest deadlines are met.”
To deliver this new approach, Birger Karlsson, previously of Lano Carpets, has been appointed sales director of M2Carpets. His knowledge and expertise of the sector will help the company to advance at pace.
To show the capabilities of the latest generation in Chromojet technology, M2Carpets will present at Domotex 2014, Hannover, Hall 5 Stand B38. The combination of exciting design and colour possibilities are sure to win much acclaim at Europe’s largest flooring fair from the 11th till 14th January 2014.
